Talalay Latex Mattress or Dunlop: Which one is better?

Blissful sleep is the need of every individual and a comfortable mattress is essential for a great sleep after the days’ hard work. With several options available in the market coupled with a number of advices, choosing the right mattress becomes a taxing job. The most common confusion that is witnessed among the consumers is choosing between Dunlop and Talalay Latex Mattress. Even though both are made of natural latex but the manufacturing process differs to a great extent. However, it is important to understand the process involved in manufacturing both these mattresses before deciding on the better one.

Talalay Latex Mattress

Dunlop and natural talalay latex mattress

The Dunlop manufacturing using natural latex dates back to 1929. The solid rubber juice is beaten into foam in a centrifuge, which is poured into a mold that is covered, and then baked in steam. Natural residue in the concoction settles at the bottom of the mold, which makes every Dunlop layer somewhat firmer on the bottom. In case of Talalay or pure latex bliss mattress, the same process is followed but before baking, it is put in a vacuum chamber and then the mold is flash-frozen. It has a more unswerving cell structure from top to base and rim to rim. It is also more costly than Dunlop and the pieces are wider than 40 inches.

Which one is better?

Since both the products are made of natural latex, so in terms of material both are equal. However, both comes with their own share of pros and cons. Nevertheless, Talalay mattresses are more preferred as it has a softer surface than Dunlop.
